Dr. Trinh’s initial exposure to the field of optometry began at the age of nine when she received her first pair of corrective lenses. Routine visits to her optometrist sparkled a curiosity and passionate interest in the profession. However, her desire to pursue a career in optometry did not blossom until her high school years. During college, Dr. Trinh volunteered at hospitals and optometry offices to solidify her decision to become an optometrist.
Dr. Trinh pursued her undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. To further her clinical expertise in the areas of primary care, contact lens, pediatric optometry, binocular vision, and ocular diseases, Dr. Trinh completed several externships. These include Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina; Barnet-Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona; and the Sacramento Veteran’s Administration in Rancho Cordova, California.
Prior to joining Dr. Holbert & Associates, Optometrists, in 2001, Dr. Trinh worked at ophthalmology practices managing refractive, cataract, and oculoplastic surgeries, pre- and post-operatively. She is certified in Paragon Vision Science Corneal Refractive Therapy.
